Laugharne (haiku for
#DylanDay/ #1) by Lidia Chiarelli - July 3 - 2016
Under the Welsh sky
only silence inhabits
your seashaken house
In slow light movements
the wind touches bare branches:
prelude of winter.

LAUGHARNE
Heron priested shores
blue waves come and go gently
recalling your name
The October wind
is no longer in your hair.
The heart is drained now
The November wind
froze the clay of light and sealed
your blue lips as wax
ANTI TERROR AND PEACE IFLAC ANTHOLOGY 2018
-LIDIA CHIARELLI
Italy
Haiku For Peace (pages 163-164)
1.
Don’t follow the steps
of insurgent barbarians
who obscure our dreams
2.
Black flags envelop
an empty land of terror
echoes of death
3.
Ceaseless cries of grief
rise high from the seething sea
the night drapes the sky
Second Prize
Lidia Chiarelli – Italy (Haiku 4)
4.
Darkness will vanish.
Through the cobalt blue heaven
A new hope appears.
5.
Peace will come again
in the enshrouding silence:
light on weary paths

Autumn
Leaves laid on the ground
- patterns of Arabian rugs -
colour our footsteps.
Rainbow of colours
when the leaves dance in the wind
this autumn morning.
Winter
Stars in a dark sky
find their way in the cold night
silence all around.
Rainy evening,
little drops on the window panes:
necklace of diamonds.
Listen to silence
when snowflakes fill the grey sky
in a white soft dance.
Spring
First primroses: brush strokes
slowly fixed on canvas
by unknown artists.
Summer
Far sound of violins,
a whirl of musical notes:
summer melodies.
